So my BodyBeast results are in! I will have to say out of P90X, Insanity, and BodyBeast that this program has been the most enjoyable for me, I'm not sure if its because I got to eat a lot more food which is always nice, the extra testosterone, or the fact that the workouts are 30-50 min long.
I went from 199 pounds to 215 pounds adding solid muscle in 90 days which was pretty cool being able to do that in my living room, sometimes I would take the workouts to the gym with me but not everyday can you make it to the gym. This was about getting results FAST not watching TV while I warm up on the treadmill.
What I learned best from this program and Dynamic Set Training was the importance of form and how to maximize results with less weight...form is king. The supplements were also key to my transformation as I found myself not always being able to eat 4-5k calories per day so the Fuel Shot and Base Shake added to my Shakeology was really nice allowing me to get the best protein and fast absorbing carbs as possible. Summa Root is a all natural testosterone booster which no matter what you think or say, at the end of the day is vital to gaining muscle and size.
I would highly recommend this program to any male or female who wants to add some muscle or be more toned. This has relatively 0 impact as where P90X and Insanity have high impact. Your investment into the weights needed might draw anyone back a little although you can find sets of weights anywhere on craigs list of people practically giving them away.
Your investment to get this program started with all the necessary supplements would be about $300.00 since you need a stability ball or bench, pull up bar, and a set of weights ranging 5-10lbs to 40-60lbs
BodyBeast was my favorite program and I feel has given me the best body.

With P90X it focused on Muscle Confusion for an overall balanced lean body adding a great mix of cardio, weight training, and Yoga. P90X of course is the Godfather and that's where it all started for me in my weight loss/getting healthy journey. I started off at 249 pounds on my day 1 of P90X and after 90 days ended at 205 pounds. The meal plan was great to follow although if comparing it to BodyBeast, I'd rather eat more and use the fuel to build muscle rather than portion control. Either way I feel you can add some good size to P90X just as BodyBeast if you were to eat the same amount of food and take the same supplements. DON'T SKIP THE YOGA!! People always skip it, if you want to get ripped faster, live longer, prevent injury, prevent sickness, be better at all physical activities like sports, help anxiety, reduce stress...DO THE DAMN YOGA, if its to long then I would recommend doing the first 40 or last 40 minutes, if you skip what does that say about yourself?
So in wrapping up P90X, it was the start of it all, it saved my life and got me to start eating healthy and stop taking prescription drugs, It was the reason I was able to become a Beachbody Coach and quit my job as a Technical Legal Adviser working 8-5 until I was 65 years old, it is the reason I have a passion for health and fitness. I would recommend P90X for anyone overweight, wanting to get ripped, or just overall health, not a great starter for Obese people.
The initial investment to get started on P90X is about $250.00 since you need a pull up bar and a few dumbells

Insanity! What can i say, its in the name. If your looking for an intense no equipment needed 60 day fast results program this is the one I would highly recommend. It is fast and tough, not a starter program although as Tony Horton from P90X would say, do your best and forget the rest.
I used the Insanity program after completing P90X to train for a Iron man (which is rocked the Oschner 70.3 in New Orleans) I went from about 196 pounds to 184 when I completed Insanity. Below is a picture I took after completing the race in my hotel room, so very proud and astonished that just 180 days before i was 245+ pounds 26% body fat. And of course I sported the P90X Jersey. On the right is my day 60 of Insanity.
If you are looking to do Insanity I would make sure that you are already used to Cardiovascular Interval Circuit Training, Kinda like Crossfit except you can actually complete each workout and not have to do 100 pull ups in 20 minutes. It is a great program to take you from good to great in your living room.
The initial investment to get started on this program is about $200.00 since you do not need any equipment
